I hate to say it, but it took a really low point in my life to really start the changing process. I had an ended long term engagement and end to the education for the career that I wanted at the time. Both kindof a surprise to me. I had my life planned out a certain way for so long. And the incidences both happpened at the same time. Then I was kinda like...what now? I knew something HAD to change soon and I couldn't deny it anymore. I wish I would have started earlier, but better late than never. Don't be like me though and wait to actively start working on yourself. It would have made things easier to handle rough times if I had started earlier. I tend to learn things the hard way on some things though, like procrastinating to take time to help myself emotionally. Wanting to work on achieving that "American Dream" now, and work on myself later. In the end, the changes that took place earlier that were hard at the time worked out for the best. I definitely see how change is hard though. I am struggling with it again now, but I'm working on it. And I guess no one ever really stops changing. We are constantly being molded thoughout our lives. Some times for the better, sometimes not. And then there are those wierd things that happen to us that are not really a "good" or "bad" thing or lable, but different than what we had planned in mind. Good luck!
"Dare you to Move" by Switchfoot Welcome to the planet Welcome to existence Everyone's here Everyone's here Everybody's watching you now Everybody waits for you now What happens next? What happens next? I dare you to move I dare you to move I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor I dare you to move I dare you to move Like today never happened Today never happened before Welcome to the fallout Welcome to resistance The tension is here The tension is here Between who you are and who you could be Between how it is and how it should be I dare you to move I dare you to move I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor I dare you to move I dare you to move Like today never happened Today never happened Maybe redemption has stories to tell Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell Where can you run to escape from yourself? Where you gonna go? Where you gonna go? Salvation is here I dare you to move I dare you to move I dare you to lift yourself Lift yourself up off the floor I dare you to move I dare you to move Like today never happened Today never happened Today never happened Today never happened before Listen to it on: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gODisZhdduk |

Jenny -
Thank you for your post. I love that song too! My sister-in-law said once that we weren't born walking, but when our minds and bodies got in line with that concept - we would walk. And so it goes...when our minds and bodies get in line (and when we line up our desires to be well with our beliefs that it can happen!) with changing and healing from anxieryt and depression - it will happen. Good for you for making the positives changes despite the growing pains in your life! Blessings, Dawn |
