Hi, I am a 27 year old female, struggling with anxiety for about 4 years now. It started out with IBS, and then I started to have anxiety. My anxiety can at times seem out of control. My mother and sister also suffer from panic attacks. I am going on the number twelve tape. I was doing very well the last four tapes, however I notice that my anxiety is starting to get out of control again. It bothers me alot, because I was doing so well, and I know in the back of my mind that the program is almost over, and I don't feel better
Has anyone had any similiar problems

Jennifer,

Go back and review tapes 2 and 3. When we are learning new behaviours we have to "reinforce it"...alot! Good luck to you!

Jennifer - I am feeling the same thing, I am on tape 9 and really can't say that I am doing much better than when I started. I thought I was improving for awhile but now I'm back to where I was before I started. I listen to tapes 2 and 3 weekly in addition to the tape I am on but I just can't seem to turn the corner to feeling better. I'm going to hang in there and hope I will be able to make it.

Rlepree, just wanted to say thanks for your repley. I have been studying tape 2 and 3 for about two weeks now, and I have been listening to the relaxation tape every day. I have less anxiety then I did before. Review the phrases in your workbook. When my anxiety feels like it is going to get out of control I take some deep breaths and repeat to myself "it is only anxiety, it will go away.

good luck!!!

Hi Jennifer,
I too am new to this program. Im a single 32 year old female that has had anxiety attacks on and off for about 13 years. I am in my 15th week of the program and I too can say that I am not rid of this frustrating emotional problem we have. My anxiety is all at night before I go to bed, so this program hasnt foccused on that for me, but I will tell you that the program has helped me in many other ways. Dealing with anger, expecations and being assertive.

I do want to tell you that I'm looking into the coaching program that the Midwest Center offers. It's a over the phone coach that will help you get through this. You speak with them once a week for 12 weeks. The only problem I really have with it is the cost. Its $1295.

But the Midwest Center says that sometimes the program just isnt enough and the coaching program is the last step needed to get us through it. It also has a money back guarantee.

Take care!

Hi Lee, I just got your reply, and totally understand what you are going through. I guess it just takes time for the program to work. The extensive phone problem sounds interesting yet it is pricey.

good luck if you decide to go through with it, and let the forum know how it went
