I have to say, I am a million times better now than I was a couple of years ago. I still have some problems with anxiety in certain situations though and occasionally, i will just feel a general sense of anxiety for a day or so. I find that i will tend to obsessively think about a certain "problem of the day" and sometimes drag things out for days, months.....
How do I tell the difference between a real problem and one that i have sort of concocted to distract myself from what is really bothering me. A lot of things are really bothering me right now, but I don't really kow how to resolve those problems so I know I am probably just making up other things to worry about that are easier to worry about. How's that for a run on sentence?

I'm not enjoying much of anything right now because I just think about worrisome stuff. It's not workin' for me. I have lost interest in some of the activities that I used to enjoy because all i feel like doing is worrying. It's almost like I use worrying to comfort myself. I don't think this post is making much sense, but hopefully someone can relate and give me some DISTRACTION input.

Hi Salad!

Well my take on this is that the distraction(worrying) is there to "distract" you from dealing with the real problems you want to avoid. I am sure you already know this. All I can add to it is that if you really want to stop worrying, you will have to start doing(meaning deal with what you avoid)! Uncomfortable as it may be, I believe it is the only way. Also remember this too, that if you are worrying you are living in the future (guilt is the past) so live in the moment. Break things down to there simplest form and work out the problems that way,day by day. Everything has a solution and we are great problems solvers so what are you waiting for?

Take care-Silvana
