I have been going preety strong on this program, up til 3-4 wks ago, It's been taking everything I have to continue, cause I thought I was doing great with myself. Started getting bored with it and hearing the same people over and over on the tapes saying the same thing. I figured I really didn't need it anymore, but I know deep down inside I had to continue, I started session 12 yest. It has taught me alot about the right things to eat and when to eat them, I exercise 3-4 times a week for an 1 1/2 ea. I've been dealing w/ my negative thoughts daily lately. But the most important issue I have and just realized that I am fighting with is actually just coming out to friend and telling them I am a lesbian, that's when I get anxiety and my shoulders thighten. Well everyone I am a lesbian, there said it. Is there any others out there!? I know I can't be the only one. I don't want any religious nuts telling me I'm going to hell either, just don't respond. All others welcome.

I was thinking how i could relate to you as far as the anxiety and needing to work the program. i remembered how bad my anxiety got before it got better . then i red a little more and you suprised me. just reminds me all kinds of things can cause anxiety. but if we are to live free of it we must firststep out there that first time . it gets better from here

Hello HA Hanna:

I'm not gay...but I am thrilled to hear you loud and clear that you are telling us that you are proud of who you are. And as far as the religious zealots go...God made you who you are and you are entitled to be just that person! My favorite neice is gay and she struggled with telling her folks and her family with it. I wish she knew that none of her aunts (and there are alot of them) ever judged her based on her sexual preference. We love her, always have admired her strength and beauty and we embrace her partner with just as much love and affection. I bet once you start telling people around you of your orientation...you'll find more and more folks supporting you. Congratulations on being just YOU!

You go girl!! I'm so proud of you!! Though I have a boyfriend now, I used to date woman before. He knows this BUT my family doesn't. I actually don't think they'd mind. And If I had gone any more serious with any of the girls i have dated I would have told my parents. My friends know this. . though its hard to tell people because some people are silly and think that you must like EVERY GIRL! It's like I still have taste lol. Anyway, congrats on coming out!!

Hey Hanna congrats on coming out. It takes tremendous courage to do that. Be proud of who you are.

Remeber God loves you for who you are. He knew who you were before you were ever born. You are precious in His sight regardless of your sexual orientation.
Take care and God Bless.

Congratulations on coming out! I hope that you feel soo good about yourself right now. I have a number of gay and lesbian friends and I watched them struggle with this exact issue but I also saw the relief they felt once they got to that point in their lives where they were able to talk about it with their friends and family. I'm sure that you too will find that peace and just know that you can always talk to people here anytime. I'm soo proud of you!!
