I went on celexa two years ago and it was very helpful. I was on it for a year and then went off of it. I was doing great over the past year until about three months ago. My panic and depression started all over again. I think I'm even worse this time. I went back on Celexa and I'm even taking a higher dosage, 40mg. I still feel awful and I've been on it for two months. Any thoughts or suggestions? I feel like I'm trying everything and nothing is working. I'm getting very discouraged, please help!

Hello there I am on Celexa also and I am taking 20mg a day. I hope I will be off of it soon. Just hang in there and you are not alone. Can someone give me advice too about if this medicine is good for panics.

I was on Paxil for some time and it worked wonders the first time and then the second time it didn't work at all. I think sometimes that happens when your body doesn't respond to it after coming off of it. But honestly, please don't get discouraged. There are so many options out there to try. My doctor told me Paxil and Celexa are quite similar and so if Celexa worked the first time, maybe Paxil will. Your doctor really can be such a great resource. There is always hope and it just takes constant effort to continually try different medications until one works for you.
