i have been taking it for about 12 days now, i started with one a day for about 5 days, i am up to 2 per day (max dose is 3 per day)
my dr prescribed paxil, but i hate prescription drugs (i don't even take anti-biotics unless i really have to), so i decided against his advice to try it, otherwise, i'd never know if it might work, i think it might be working, as i seem to be a little more motivated, hard to describe. I wonder if the effects are more subtle vs SSRI's, when to know if it's working.
Anyone who has taken this i would appreciate input, as for the paxil... i just don't see myself taking it, I'm just one of those weird stubborn against meds persons Eeker

Hi Coleen,

You need to take 3 a day - the 1 and 2 tablets are unlikely to touch you at all. Some people see fairly impressive results within days for others it can take up to 4 weeks but give it a good try out at he full dose.

I used to take 2 SJW in am with a Vit B 100mg and Vit C 1000mg and 1 SJW in the evening with another Vit C and a vit E 200u.

Something worked !!

Check the advice on www.sjwinfo.org

Good luck

KOKO,
ST. JOHNS IS GOOD FOR A WHILE. DON'T BE AFRAID OF MEDS. I AGREE PAXIL IS NOT SOMTHING I COULD EVER GET USED TO. IF YOU EVER TRIED IT AND HAD THE SAME RESPONCE THAT I DID, YOU WOULD KNOW WHAT I MEAN. IT KNOCKED MY BUTT IN THE DIRT!

ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE PROZAC HAS BEEN A LIFE SAVER FOR ME! UNLIKE PAXIL, I FEEL MY OLD SELF AGAIN AND NOT A ZOMBIE! THE FUNNY THING IS BEFORE IT WAS GIVEN TO ME, I THOUGHT IT WAS THE WORST THING A PERSON COULD PUT IN THEIR BODY...

I WAS SO WRONG! ST. JOHNNY'S WART WON'T GET YOU THERE. (JUST MY THOUGHTS FROM WHAT I HAVE LIVED)

ALL ANYONE HAS TO OFFER, CAN YA DIG IT? I KNEW YOU COULD...

O/N THE KID

P.S. EAT A SANDWICH DOLL. Roll Eyes

nosebender ( i wonder how you came up with this one.. i laugh just typing it)
thanks for the input, i am not against meds, (well, ok actually i am), but i just figured since my depression isn't really bad, i'm not housebound or crying alot, i just feel defeated by this anxiety monster (stupid cow thing), so i won't feel settled until i try the SJW for a month, i have been using it for a few weeks, i am feeling a little better, not sure if it's the "placebo" effect, but who cares... if it' doesn't work, i'll try a script
thanks again
ps: i am blonde.... what' that about the sandwich?LOL

Hey Koko I just wanted to say I to am very afraid of meds. I don't even know why I am so afraid, I tried Zoloft about 4 years ago and that was enough for me I took one pill only ever and it made me feel like I was walking on the moon. When my anxiety first started it was only the spacey feeling that went on for over a year. Then it went to the obssesive thoughts then it went to the anxiousness and obssesive thoughts now it's all of it. I know I would probably benifit from something but I'm like you I'm way to scared. I have Paxil right now the control release kind I've had it for about 4 months and I can't get myself to take it. I'll tell myself ok I'm going to take it the next time my fiance is off work that way if it makes me feel weird I'll be ok. ANd I've heard stuff like someone who took it was sitting there and just started zoning out. So I am probably as stubborn as you or more. I wish ther was a magic pill!!!!!!
