I take .5 as needed but lately it does not seem to be working like it did just a week ago. I have only been on it for 3 weeks. What do I do? It says i can take it 3 times daily. I never have yet. Should I start? Also when it does start to work it does not seem to last as long, so should I take another .5 at 4 or 5 hours if I feel I need it? Thanks for anyhelp you can give me. Stack

If your prescription is for 3 times a day, why dont you try taking it 3 times a day and see if it works for you?

Call and talk to your pharmacist about it. They are VERY knowledgeable on meds of all kinds, of course. Xanax is also addictive for many. But call and ask someone who should know about such things instead of worrying yourself too much.

Are you using it to relax your body or are you using it to try to change your negative thoughts?

Good Point Bakedpears !! Wink

The mind and body are SO connected !! We can only help the body relax by doing things external and internal together. External things such as progressive muscle relaxation, hot baths, exercise, massage, etc. etc.... and internal things such as positive, truthful self-talk and optimism.
You cannot have one without the other...they work together in harmony and it's important to remember this when we don't feel right.

Our symptoms of stress should only serve as a warning sign that we are not taking care of ourselves as we should ! Smiler
