I TOOK A REMERON LAST NIGHT AND TODAY I FEEL ANXIOUS EVERY LITTLE NOISE SCARES ME. I POPED RIGHT OUT OF BED WITH A PANIC ATTACK. IS THIS NORMAL TILL YOU GET USED TO IT. I FEEL REALLY IRRITABLE TOO AND I FEEL LIKE I AN NOT HERE? SHOULD I KEEP TAKING IT? OR AM I OVER REACTING TO IT?

I took Remeron last year (Aug.-Feb.) I think I did have some anxiety but remember that we would have anxiety with or without medication. The doctor at the time also prescribed Klonopin(anti-anxiety med) which I used with the Remeron for the first month and then as on an as needed basis. If the anxiety is bad maybe you could talk to you doctor about adding an anti-anxiety medication for a short while. Remember too that these medications take awhile to work so don't expect anything immediate. The Remeron really helped me with sleep, is it helping you sleep well?
