Well...I have been tapering slowly off of 0.5mg of Klonopin for about six months. Last weekend I finally took the plunge and stopped taking 0.125mg. So far I have been doing pretty well and the coping skills from the MWC program are helping me during those times when I do get a little adrenaline rush or just feel strange.

Reading this gives me hope. I am new to the program, and it is encouraging to read it works for others!!! Any hints or suggestions for success?

Dear Michele00 - I am far from being recovered but I am taking steps towards that goals by doing things such as tapering off of Klonopin. My biggest piece of advice is to BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF. Recovering from anxiety, panic, and depression takes time and the process has its ups and downs. I still battle with having unrealistic expectations of myself and with setting a timetable for recovery. It helps to try to think of my recovery as open-ended.
