I've been on Zoloft for almost a week. I was taking it in the morning and it made me feel spacey and soooo tired. I took it at night last night and I couldn't sleep! I have been pretty anxious sense I started taking it. I'm feeling very discouraged. How long does it take before you feel normal on this stuff?

It takes a couple of weeks to get adjusted. But after that it worked well for me. I didn't notice any real side effects. My advice would be to give it a chance, but be sure to keep your doctor informed.

I am on Lexapro and that is how I felt for about 2-3 weeks. Now I am fine and have no side affects. Hang in there and give it time.

Thank You for your replies. Yesterday my doctor decided to take me off Zoloft. So far I feel much better. I have such mixed feelings about meds. I go back to see him in two weeks. I'm going to try to have a better attitude in the mean time and really work the program, we'll see how it goes. Thanks again.

sometimes it just takes time. not everyone adjusts to medication the same everyone is different you just have to see which one works for you. i have been on paxil for about 5 years now. i take the lowest dosage there is and it helps tremendously. i still feel the panic attacks and anxiety but not as strong. it does take 2-3 weeks to take effect. maybe your feelings of spacey feelings was your anxiety because you don't want to take meds. if you think the meds help then take them if you don't think then don't take them. find what works for you. dulce
