Is anyone out there taking Buspirone (Buspar). I am currently taking this medication. I really don't like taking medications but this one has been helpful for me during some very difficult times. I like it because it is non-addicting and minimal side effects at least for me. When I first started taking the med it made me feel a little funky but now I don't notice much of that anymore. Just wondering if anyone else has good/bad info on this. Lucinda noted this medication in the program. I have been on this med for about 6 months.

Also, another problem of mine is sleeping. My doctor recommended taking a Tylenol PM (1 tablet) and it seems to help me. Has anyone taken this as well? I don't always take it but if I'm having a bad day then I tend to take it.

My opinion is not to feel bad about taking medications if you need them but to always work towards taking yourself off of them. I go back in March to work on reducing the dosage. Wish me luck. Thanks for listening.

I just started taking Buspar last week and I have felt extremely tired with little help for the anxiety although I have external stresses going on in my life lately in addition to the usual anxiety. He has me taking half a pill twice a day. I didn't take it at all today because of how tired I feel. Should I stick it out and hope that passes? I also have trouble sleeping at night (actually waking up too too early in the a.m.). My doc put me on an old antidepressant which is fairly mild. It seems to help somewhat. Good luck to you and keep in touch.
