I hear mixed things about Lexapro. Some people find it stimulating, others get tired. I am about to start it myself and have high hopes. I have read so many good testomonies about it on www.remedyfind.com. 2 weeks seems to be the most common answer to how long it last. I'm sure most days won't leave you in bed all day either. Part of it could be that you don't know how to be, or feel comfortable with, being more relaxed. I know that for me everytime I am relaxed I think that I am tired even if there is no reason for me to be. I hear that that is common. I took Zoloft for a year before and it really helped take the edge off. I felt tired for a few weeks, and spent one day in bed myself. I was still an anxiuos person, but didn't really have too many panic attacks, or have to fight the anxiety all the time. I tried to go back on it but it no longer works for me. You got through the third day! That's great. You should feel relieved. The only major side effect with Lexapro is that some people get even more anxious on it, but for those people it is always with in 48 hours of starting it. Good luck and please keep us updated on how everything is going for you. I'm excited to hear how the Lex works. Giselle

I have been on Lexapro for three months now. I am on 10mg. I don't think your weight matters much. I started on 5 and went up to 20. The first two weeks I had alot of different "side effects" some of them might of been "in my head". I am on week 14 of the program and am doing real well. I have my days, but I think everyone does. My plan is to try to go off the Lexapro in the Spring. I do think I am more tired than usual, but I will take that over the anxiety anyday. Give it at least two to three weeks before you give up on it. I am glad I did. Best of luck!!!
