i am on zoloft. i am wondering will this have some benefitting affects overall. i usually take it at night, and wake up in the middle of night having trouble falling back to sleep. in the morning i feel nauseau. this usually lasts for most of the day. i also have phlegm that i can not break up at the top of my throat. i wonder if i should get my dosage reduced from 50 mg to 25. i need something to help calm me down and relax. will this ultimately do that.

hi unhappy!
I hope your name changes someday! i have been on many antidepressants and zoloft does cause nausea. It might go away after the first few weeks. Some of these meds do cause insomnia which is not what we need! I wish my doc would give me something to relax me but i am a recovering alcoholic so i would probably get dependent on it. If you can get something, go for it but remember you cannot take them forever and it will be hard to get off them most likely. If it were me i would not want anything to do with a med that caused insomnia. Another option is to try ambien at night for sleep. It is a pill that helps you fall asleep without causing sedation. I take that when i need it and it works. good luck. sounds like you need to talk to your doc. |
