Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has successfully weaned off of Klonopin. I have been taking it for about a year now. The highest dosage was 3 mg per day.

I am now down, (with my doctor's assistance) to .25 mg per evening. And in a couple more weeks I will go to every other evening and so on.

I have had horrible withdrawal symptoms all along, but this last round has hit me pretty hard. I am having horrible stomach pains that cross from one side of my stomach to the other. I also have a on again off again pain under my right breast.

I haven't been able to eat much and have lost 5 pounds in a couple of days following diarrhea. My major problem is weight loss. I have been doing well after completely the program. Now I feel horrible. I am not a hypochondriac, in fact I hate visiting the doctor's.

Any suggestions? Has anyone had similar problems with Klonopin? I've had the usual withdrawals....heart palpitaions, sweats, tremors, etc. I just want to be free of this stuff. It had its time and place, but now it's time to move on. Help!

Michelle

Hi Michelle,
How are coming along with your klonopin withdrawl? I am doing the same thing now 9/8/2005. And I am having the same symptoms. I tried to get off it last march but I had just resigned my position and was a nervous what- ifer then. I have always had the stomach tension. That is the one thing that is my anxiety trademark. I have stomach and bowl irritaion. Anxiety backlash. Haven't slept much that last few days. Last time I did have achiness in my chest, shoulder and neck. This time still have flu like symptoms. I weaned myself off and probably went too fast. I am hoping these symptoms clear up in the next few days. I have a MD appointment tomorrow. But I know what you are talking about.
