I been suffering from anxity for many years. One of my ways of forgetting about it is to go out on a bender. I love the feeling of forgetting what everyone around me is thinking. I dont care for alittle while but then after I alway feel so bad and the cycle starts over again. I never drive while I'm drinking thats the only positive thing I can say about it. I just would like any advice on how I can begin to change. I really think the program is helping me I just still worry way to much about what others think.

HI,
I know the feeling about going on a bender to make you feel better. I have been slacking with the program, but... I have learned so much!!! I keep looking a lesson 5 (eat and exercise) the last two weeks.. The 2nd,3rd,and 4th lesson have meant so much to me. They really are eyeopening. I still like a few beers.. but i dont drink in responce to my anxiety(anymore). It seems the opposite now. I need to understand my feelings and realize them for what they are. What has been stopping me... is the spiritual part. I believe in god, but i believe I am responsible for my actions.. why cant I also use my experience to solve my problems? This issue should be discussed at another time. Hang in there!! Use the tools. They do work!!!

We all have the answers within ourselves. We just dont know the questions to ask.
