Raven,
I don't know how much this will help, but I thought I'd let you know what I have seen with Buspar. I have never been on it, but I did know someone who was who had similar problems with dizziness. This was an elderly lady that I knew. She was diagnosed with bi-polar and was prescribed buspar. Within a week or two she got dizzy and could hardly write or walk. I don't know how much she was taking or anything but I do remembering her saying that she was on it. I do recall the doctors taking her off some of her meds and the last time I saw her she was doing well. Now, I don't know if she was taking any other meds with the buspar or not. Anyway, I noticed that no one had responded to your post and I know how frustrating that can be when you need to hear from someone. That's all I know about the subject. Have you looked Buspar up on the net to see if dizziness is a side effect. It helps me to do research on my meds. Try it out and keep me posted to what you find out. Now I am curious. Yellow Rose |

I started taking BuSpar about 3 months ago. I took 5mg 3 times a day and then moved up to 10mg 3 times a day. I was so dizzy and tired so my pdoc cut me back to 5mg in the morning and afternoon but at night, I still take the 10mg. I was on Paxil and had horrible withdrawal effects from it. Of course everything that you mentioned. doodles

Raven,
I am glad you had the courage to down your dose. I laughed so hard when I read that part about the anti-christ elixer. I can totally relate. I was on Wellbutrin for about 2 weeks and had pychodelic dreams that Jimi Hendrix would envy! I quit that mess with some knowledge of what my college friends went through who experimented with marijuana! We sound funny sometimes comparing our dope on here. I laugh to keep from crying! By the way about my name...yellow roses are my favorite. I had them at my wedding and my mother tells me that my dad brought her a dozen yellow roses when I was born. Keep it real and don't loose that sense of humor. Yellow Rose |
