I'm noticing that I "bounce" or "shake" my right foot up and down vigorously. Like I'm tapping my heel without touching the ground. I haven't always done this. Does anyone else have this problem? Can this be a side effect of the Zoloft?

I read your post and wanted to know how Zoloft is working for you. My doctor prescribed Paxil for me, but I wonder if I should try Zoloft. Are you still having problems with your foot? Do you like this medication?

I am eager to read your reply.

Thanks so much and good luck!

rlp-

Zoloft has worked very well for me. I have been taking it since January this year. I can say that my side effects were minimal. I would wake up in the middle of the night and stay up, but that lasted a few weeks and I can't really say if it was because of the Zoloft or my depression and anxiety.

I thought that Paxil was for anxiety and Zoloft was for depression? I may be wrong, but anyway, Zoloft did help my depression which caused my anxiety to go down. Plus I have been seeing a therapist so that has helped a lot.

My foot still bounces, but I'm not sure why. Who knows, I may have been doing this all along even before the meds and I'm just now realizing it. Razzer But I was just wondering if it may be a side effect.

Best of luck to you too!

Hey guys,
Just wanted to post that I take Paxil CR and has worked very well for me. I did take Zoloft before but wasn't a right match for me. Then again everyone 's system is different. The Paxil did help for both the anxiety and depression. Hope this helps!

Hi, my husband has recently started Zoloft. His doctor put him on it around 2 months ago. He too at times will get a nervous movement going like his foot taping or his hand moving. He has had anxiety for all of his adult life and I have to tell you that I believe Zoloft was the greatest thing ever invented. It has helped him get the worry and anxiety under control and he actually can see now when he is going into a depression. He hasn't been on paxil or any of the others so I can't say for them what they are like. Side affects for Zoloft have been some nervous reactions(not bad) and like someone said, waking up in the middle of the night. So his doctor gave him sleeping medicine to take only in the event that he needed it. I am amazed at the change since zoloft. And so is he.

My hands have slightly trembled and I have had the restless leg/foot since youth. It had gotten much worse while on the medication, however much better being off all the meds.

Hi,
I have been on Zoloft for four weeks now,I have
an hour after taking that I feel hotter, panic
comes some and my heart beats a little faster.
I have some depression, mostly panic and anxiety
I tried Lexapro,Paxil CR,EffexorXR and they were not for me. Paxil wasn't that bad,it added alot of weight and I felt like I couldn't take in a full breath too well. Sometimes I feel spacey
and have a headache like really bad. But I am also
on a benzo. Once the Zoloft starts working,I can get off the other medication. My body does not do well with meds,it always was like this. I am on 25 mg of Zoloft which is low dose.My blood pressure has been low mostly in the nineties on the top and sixties or fifties on the bottom. I am usually higher than this. I hope if you pick any medication make sure the physician gives you all the information about it. Good Luck
Jille

Ive been taking Zolft for a number of months, and it really has worked well for me. Our body chemistries are different, some people have bad side effects, some minimal and others none. If you have a side effect that bothers you. talk to your DR he/she may want you to try something else. I took Paxil CR for a year, back in 2003-2004, it made my heart race more, so....I switched.

Hi,
I took Zoloft for a couple of years. It was very good for me. But one of the side effects that was extremely annoying was a nervous facial tic. Sometimes, the tic got really bad!
But at the same time, despite the side effect, the benefits were much greater than the harm.
And Shannon, it takes a couple of months for the benefits to kick in. 25mg is a very small dose; but everything is so individual, I feel like it's almost impossible to give advice on this issue.
Hope this helps.

Yes, we are all different. Zoloft has been ruining my life for the 2 months I have been on it. I am weaning off of it and it is torture. I was only on it for 8 weeks and it is taking longer than that to get rid of it! I haven't had panic or anxiety for years and now since taking Zoloft it is all back!

If Not Now, When?
