I have been taking wellbutrin xr 150mg for anxiety for approximately 1 month. My stress/circumstances around my job have changed for the better (new job) although I still have anxiety. I can't increase the dosage due to other issues with colitis. I'm wondering if the anxiety is as a result of the wellbutrin I'm taking as it is listed on the side effects. Is anyone else taking this drug or have taken it in the past?

wellbutin does tend to make people more anxious, they usually dont start someone one that first when they have anxiety, more so to add to another antidepressant when its making someone to tired, or for sexual disfuction...hope this helps............

Maybe you can talk to your doctor about the feeling or side effects your getting from the med. I'm taking Wellbutrin Sr but I'm on other meds to. I couldn't tell you what it does to me.
