Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone has gained weight from being on an anti-depressant? I have been taking Paxil CR for a little over a year and have gained weight. I would love to hear from you and if you have any suggestions on how to control the weight gain. Thanks!

Yes, been on almost all anxiety and depression meds out there, have gain over 60 pounds. No the only way to get it off, is too work it off no magic cure. But I cant do that, or at least dont feel I can, I have so much fatique and just want to lay down. But if somehow I could get up, I would lose that weight or at least a majority of it, I hope. I hope you are stronger than me right now and can do this, good luck

I haven't gained any weight yet but I started Prozac 2 months ago and I have turned into a little piggy. I am hungry 24/7. Fortunately since I am diabetic I know what I can snack on that won't turn me into a blimp. Does this hunger ever go away?

I have been on zoloft for six months and have gained weight. I also think my appetite has increased. Do you think we are gaining weight from the antidepressant itself or because the antidepressant makes us feel more hungry??

I am trying to watch what I am eating. I have always stayed a good weight that I am happy with and I do not want the zoloft to make me gain weight. So I know how frustrated you all feel also.
