I have been feeling very anxious for the last 5 days almost to the point that I feel like I am crawling out of my own skin. I pace, cry, call people but the anxiety/nervousness won't let up. can anyone relate, does it go away? I am thinking that possibly it could be caused by all the medication I am on. Please Help.
Thank you |

Just what and how many medications are you on? It sounds like your anxiety is in high gear, girl. It will go away, but first contact your doctor and have him evaluate all your medications. Have you started anything new? Have you given the meds time to work? Are you doing anything postive to help yourself? Do you have Lucinda's tapes? If so, listen to them. Go to the book store and get a workbook on anxiety. If you have Lucinda's stuff, start using it.
Do relaxation breathing. Try thought blocking; or try to absorb yourself in a project that is interesting to you and see if the anxiety improves. Once, I started digging through a box of beautiful beads and started making myself earrings and before I knew it, hours had passed, my anxiety had disappeared, and I knew that my mind had been occupied with something else other than worry. Do you needlepoint or sew, garden? I'm starting a yoga class next week to improve my health and state of mind. I, too, used to feel a need to call and talk to people on the phone. Once I even called a crisis line. I'm sure that the crisis line person thought I was a little dippy. You are a creative and analytical person. Try to use that to analyze if meds are part of this or is it your anxiety itself just making itself known. Pray for guidance and insight to the Power that has the answer to all of our problems.
