I am just starting up the program (really on lesson 3), but thought I should look into getting some peer support. I am having a hard time right now...not really sleeping well. I am back on Prozac and Amitriptyline (for sleep), but I haven't seen much improvement. I am trying to apply some of the new principles from the program, but am struggling because of feeling very weak. I am committed to give this a shot. I just am hoping for some encouragement.

Welcome, and glad you are logging in with us. It's great to know you are not alone, and know you are not alone. I'm on session 4 today first day. And am seeing progress in myself and lots of others I've watched in the last 3 weeks. Look forward to your progress as well. god bless and daily prayers.

Hi MichaelB;
When I signed up for the program I had no idea that it included a forum and a chat area. I have found the forum, especially, a great place for peer support. It's helped me to learn that I'm not alone in my anxiety, that I have a great support group, and it's helped me to share what I've learned with others. I consider these "extras" as a really important part of my overcoming anxiety. I hope you participate often! Here's to your success! M |

MichaelB, just want to welcome you aboard. Always remember that you're not alone, we've all been through same or similar issues. I've been dealing with anxiety/panic for 24 years - time flies when you're having fun? Give me a shout anytime about anything.

I'm just finishing up Lesson 3 and I have found this peer support group very encouraging and supportive. You'll find many different discussions that you can be a part of to be encouraged and encourage others. Keep us posted!!...everyone I've met on here is great! Jen |

Hi MichaelB, I am glad you stopped in. I am also on session 3 (day 2). I think the peer support is one of the things that has gotten me to stick with the program and feel like I can do it.
I noticed that my sleeping gets really disturbed when I pile to much of the information in at once. I know the program is intense and changing isn't easy for anybody. Remember to allow yourself the space you need and use the relaxation as often as necessary- I find it really helps. I think our bodies are going to be doing different things and that itis not necessarily a bad thing, we are trying to adjust to the information and it's hard work and can be very tiredsome. You should be proud of yourself for the changes that are taken place inside of you. I understand when you don't get enough sleep, things can be harder, but try not to dwell on that and keep plugging away at the program. We all have bad days, you just need to allow yourself to. I pray things get better for you soon and that soon you will beable to quite your thought's enough to get some sound sleep.
