I was wondering if anyone was on Ativan? My dr put me on it about a month ago. Im taking 1/2 of a 0.5 mg pill, so obviously the effects dont last long. I take that every 4 hours, but when it starts to wear off, I get dizzy and it lasts awhile and continues into my next dose ( eventhough its not bad once the meds kick in)Could this be my body is getting used to the pill and it craves more so I get dizzy? Does the Adrenaline release the minute the effects of the dose wear off??? Any thoughts from anyone?

I have been on Ativan (as needed) for many years. Carolyn is right. Talk to your doctor about side-effects. I take it as needed and I try not to take it unless I absolutely have to. I'm not a doctor, but the Ativan for me is very helpful when I need it. I'm sure it's different for everyone. I hope this helps. Again talk to your doctor.

Have you ever tried the 6 steps and relaxation tech. and or tape when you feel anxious? how are you speaking to yourself. C.
