FYI

I got this email this morning and five minutes later it was a headline on MSN, (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18557266/wid/11915773?GT1=10008). This is very serious. Please pass this on to anyone you know that has children in their life.
TO ALL IT MAY CONCERN,
There is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that all
need to be aware of. There is a type of crystal meth going around that
looks like strawberry poprocks. It smells like strawberry also and it is
being handed out to kids in school yards in AR. I'm sure it will make
its way around the country if it hasn't already. Kids are ingesting this
thinking that it is candy and being rushed off to the E.R. in dire
condition. Please instruct your children to not accept candy that looks
like this even from a friend and to take any that they may have to a
teacher, principal, etc. Please pass this around it could save some family
a lot of heartache!
That is what they are calling strawberry meth or strawberry quick.

Karen, I was just told that there may be other flavors included in this also. Just a heads up, strawberry may not be the only kind.

May God grant us the wisdom to discover right, the will to choose it, and the strength to make it endure.

Thanks so much for the info. I hope all parents get this message. This world is so scary. No wonder we all have such anxiety. It seems like I heard about this kind of a drug in schools a while back. Thanks again!

Guys, Don't you think there's a cost factor invovled here? Do you think that the people that make and sell drugs really want to hand out their product for free??? especially in the quantitiy the rumor is stating that it's going out. Kids will PAY for candy even if their told it's only candy. In high school the fund raisers were when the bell rang kids ran for candy. I don't think they are really doing this. Besides look how hard it is to get the sudaphed these days?

Lacy,
I beleive drug dealers will give anything away free the first time,, just to get people hooked.
Im glad karen posted that, cause ive heard about it for months now. Meth is a very addictive drug. it doesnt take more than a couple of times using it to be hooked. Peer pressure in schools is at an all time high...

I can't emphasize this enough:

This e-mail is completely bogus!

While there is a variety of meth called "strawberry quick", there is absolutely no evidence that it is being given to children in schoolyards or that any children went to the ER from ingesting flavored meth, other than this e-mail. Additionally, there is no evidence that 'strawberry quick' is being produced to appeal to children of any age.

It only takes a few minutes of research to separate the real threats from the fake. We all worry about enough improbable things; let's not add more.

http://www.jointogether.org/news/headlines/inthenews/20...-police-pick-up.html oky so I did a little homework and when I typed in strawberrry meth a vast majority of sites popped up..the stuff is out there and my intent on posting this was not to scare anyone but knowledge is power when it comes to protecting our kids.
