I live in San Antonio, Texas and I am thinking of forming a MeetUp support group where we can get together in person occasionally to develop friendships with people who truly understand what we are going through. It will be a group to help each other seek happiness, love, peace, support... whatever we need to keep going forward positively, NOT a group where we sit around swimming in misery.

MeetUp online is a great way to keep in touch as a group and to plan events. Each group has a message board, calendar, reminders, profiles, email, group opinion polls, files, etc. We can get to know each other to see what the group needs to encourage and support each other, like, group talk, "helpful hints", a book study...whatever the group wants.

Also, if you do want to join and know others who have anxiety/depression, etc. but are not going through the AA&D program but might like to join, they are welcome as well.
