Hi all
Has anyone any suggestions about how to back off from trying to parent step-children? I love them, but am having a hard time with a 14 year old step-daughter who I think also suffers from anxiety and depression. My anxiety has made me come off as super critical, but it is really a way for me to keep my environment predictable and manageable. I am hoping I have not done too much damage. i am on the program now and doing really well. Any step-parenting tips would be greatly appreciated. Joan |

Joan,
I have a step-son whis 17 now and I have been with his father for 10 years. We barely exchange words because he doesn't trust me. It has a lot to do with the relationship. If you don't have a relationship with her now you probably never will. |
