My 3 sons have been arguing, fighting, and just not being very good to one another lately and I wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions or advice? They are 10,6,5 and VERY active all day long. We do alot together. I spend time with them one on one. I know siblings are going to have arguements, but this is really working my nerves. It's stressful and I'm with them all day and night, I'm a stay at home mom, so my day has been consisting of making sure they don't hurt one another. Of course, there's times when they're so sweet to each other (although it's been few and far between! Frowner ), but they've been fighting more lately than they ever have before.

I feel like I should change my clothing attire to a black and white striped shirt with REFEREE written on it! LOL I feel like I'm trying to do everything I can, but if this fighting between keeps up it's going to be one looonnnnnggggg summer! Help, I need some advice!!

Thanks!
Dana

I'm sorry to hear your summer hasn't started out the greatest!! I do have a question for you though.....you said you spend time with them one on one....have you asked them what is going on that's making them do what they do?

I suggest doing activities where the kids are less active--could they be wearing out from all the activity and becoming cranky, tired, and argumentative? Open up a puzzle and turn on some relaxing, soft music. If they need something more dramatic, have them learn the words to some songs that are funny or engaging. Get them to see the humor in these "situations". Try to keep them away from sugar as much as possible. Some fruit juices can be over stimulating, too. I am a mother of three--19,21,& 23, and I remember those days of feeling like the referee. All three were and are very strong willed! When they express strong opinions, it is a sure sign that they are destined to be leaders and to accomplish much. Hang in there. I know it can be hard on a Mom, but I can definitely say---It's worth it!
