My name is Amanda. I purchased this program a couple months ago (February or March?) and am only now starting it. I had a couple false starts where I started the program then got distracted from it. I am lately unemployed, was dismissed from my job but am in the process of being reinstated -- the reason I was dismissed was that I did something impulsively thinking that it was a good thing the right thing....was blown out of proportion...other people had erred as well but I had taken the fall....Impulsivity is a feature of mania...and I was manic at work and not realizing it...Now I blame myself totally and am very self-conscious and have very little confidence, low self-esteem. I have always had these characteristics since childhood....I hadn't completed the program as of yet but I have watched the jump start dvd so far in fact a couple of times, and I also have let my mom and my younger sister know about it...and we should do it together. I have struggled with what was diagnosed as bipolar disorder since I was about 15 and now I am 28...but I feel certain that I have had this problem all my life..I feel that much of my 28 years have been a horrible waste and that I had wanted so much more for myself by age 28. Sorry for if it seems I am feeling sorry for myself -- it happens to everyone at times I'm sure.
I just wanted to say hi to everyone who is taking the program too. I hope it works for all of you and you gain some good out of it...it sounds like a good program -- a lot of common sense stuff..it's just hard to make myself sit long enough to watch the sessions. But I think that once I have proceeded through session one I will have accomplished a lot.
