Just got the program and just about finished with Lesson 1. I find Lucinda's voice very soothing, and calming. That's a good sign, I think. This program has already begun helping me.

I had heard the radio/tv commercials for awhile, and thought about ordering, but wasn't sure if it was really for me as I never felt like my problem was that huge, but, recently I saw the infomercial and thought "why not?" It couldn't possibly hurt, so I ordered.

I was very excited when my program package arrived. I wanted to dig in immediately!

I would say that I have mild General Anxiety, some Social Phobia, and some specific phobia (needles!). I have a problem with negative thinking, self-talk, self-image. This started for me, I think, when I was a kid (9-14) and had a step-father that was verbally abusive. My mother signed me up for self-esteem class when I was a teenager and I think that helped, but I still have negative self-talk issues.

I'm looking forward to continuing on with the program and learning more how I can help myself to be more positive and tackle these issues.

Thanks!

Julie J,

I just wanted to reiterate what Mello Nello shared…well put I thought. You will learn and gain a lot, by really making use of the workbook and relaxation tape, in addition to the other materials. Welcome to the site and program.

Hello phoe-nix,

Welcome. You are absolutely fine posting to these forums whenever you like, but this is not the Peer Support community. To go there…at the very top of this page…place your cursor on “Community.” The third option down is, New User Peer Support Groups…just click on that to find new members just starting the program with you.

Hope that helps and congrats on starting the program.

I'm also new. I will be all done with lesson one this Wednesday. I am glad to hear that someone else is already thinking it is helping them, because I have thought that as well. I was in the middle of the first tape and realized that I wasn't just having anxiety, stress and depression this spring and summer, I'd been having it for YEARS! After doing the workbook, I was remembering a lot of stuff in my life that I responded to with anxiety and panic and that I have been in denial about my depression for years. So, I feel like I am being helped. I can't wait for lesson 2, but I am going to be good and I won't skip ahead. I still need to listen to the first lesson at least one more time and hope that I get twice in. I have listened 3 times already.

Smiles!
