I just started the program 2 weeks ago. I am having a hard time listening to the relaxation CD. I can't imagine listening to it 3 times per day. I am having a hard time listening to it once. Is this normal?

If you're like me, you ruminate a lot while listening to
or reading something right in front of your face.

LOL! You know how many times i actually apologize to GOD
when i am reading The Bible because i will suddenly start
thinking about something other than what i am reading??

Do what I do. Listen to the relaxation cd/tape at night
before bed. All is quiet then, so you can concentrate.
Even if you get too sleepy to continue listening, that is
a good thing because it's relaxing you, i.e. doing its job. Hahaha!
And your subconscious mind is taking it all in, regardless.

LOL! Why would I wish to pm you concerning my beliefs? i LOVE
talking about them.

Take my word, Denniz. Not only does my love for GOD/JESUS
not have a negative effect on my anxieties, but without it,
i would have lost my will to continue this battle!

There is an incredible book by Morris Cerullo called ...

One Demon Spirit that controls, dominates, possesses, oppresses,
vixes, and torments, 8 out of 10 people in the world today,
including born-again Christians: Fear!

LOL! Yes, that's the actual title. I have the book
on a table in my dining room. It's not even 100 pages,
but that book was a God-Send! It allowed me to stop and
take charge of my life via GOD's Wisdom and His Holy Armor! See
Ephesians 6:10-11.

Thanks for asking, and I hope we can be friends now.

Smiler

P.S. Don't judge the book by its author. I realize that
Dr. Morris Cerullo is quite the character, but that book
is so right-on!

I know exactly what you speak of. When I first had my anxiety, my therapist gave me his own version of the relaxation tape and I simply could not lie there and listen to it--it actually made me MORE anxious rather than less because of the slow cadence and the fact that I "knew" I "had" to relax.

My only advice to you is to allow those anxious thoughts to come and not fight them--but also let them pass without giving much thought to them. Sound impossible? I know--it can seem that way, but the more you do the program the easier it will be.

And don't force yourself to do the relaxation tape--if you find yourself dreading it, then put it aside for a while and come back to it after some time.

best of luck. Smiler
