Hi Gail,
Sounds pretty normal. I used to get the chills like crazy instead of getting hot. I do know that being hot and cold are very common symptoms with panic or anxiety. I did have a panic attack a long time ago and my chest was on fire. As for you getting red, I'm sure it's just that rush of blood flowing through. It's not a bad thing.

Hi Gail.....i get the kinda hot flashes feeling too and like cindy, i also get the chills. I used to get scared before when my chest starts to feel hot...sometimes my shoulders and back of my neck feels hot too. Now when i get them I just take a cold shower Big Grin and i try not to be scared but just to accept it. Acceptance really works Smiler

I went through the same thing with the red face and being hot. Once I stopped thinking about it they went away. Then other symptoms came in and took its place. Funny the things we go through. It was almost as if I was constantly blushing.

I am 36 and get hot flashes, night sweats here and there. My heart at times will start to flutter. I try not to give it much credit, cause then I know it will make it worse. Then we become over sensitized to it, too aware of it, then it scares us. I remain calm and remnd myslef that I am ok and that this will pass. It does and is not a big deal. If your doctor examined you and cannot give an explanation other than anxiety, that is a great thing! Like Susan said, acceptance is a BIG one. Once you accept that the stuff will not hurt you, it really is not a concern anymore and they may not happen that often either. That is what happened to me. Take care! LizB

Boy, I have both of those symptoms too. When I get really hot (and I can feel my ears burning up and my face is so red) I have this little battery powered fan in my pocket book that I whip out. (and it's a great toy for my son while we are out to dinner and he needs a distraction) That fan really is a great thing to have, I think I bought it at a drug-store. If I am drinking a cold drink I will put that, or condensation from the glass, on the back of my neck and that instantly cools me off. My heart will beat really fast too and I just do the breathing exercise in the program and it will help out a lot.
