This evening on my drive home from work, it was raining. Honestly, I hate to drive in the rain. This is a big fear of mine. Well, today has been an unusual day. I actually felt Good!! I have not felt this good in a long time. I am talking about inner peace.

So, I am driving on the interstate, about 10 miles from my house, it's raining pretty hard, but all of the sudden, the sun started brightly shining the same time it was raining. I pushed my visor up, and started looking at the sky. I was looking for a rainbow!!!! I then caught myself and said.."oh my gosh, I actually thought of something positive and beautiful instead of negatively obsessing whether or not someone was going to slam into me and picture my family missing me, the wreck, you know those nasty, ugly, horrible thoughts!!

This might sound silly to some, but for me, this is a huge accomplishment!!! It is like my mind automatically had a positive thought instead of a negative. So, I guess their is hope afterall.

Hey cheri31, now that's "living in the moment"- GOOD FOR YOU! *grin*

I always think of timely moments like these as divine gestures. Kind of like a little pick me up when God knows you need it most.
Fondly,
Emily

You know Fischee, you are sooo right! I have not had a "timely moment" in years. Well, I probably actually have, but was just so caught up in my own little world, with all of MY problems, that I just did not see them. Thank you for your kind words.

That's awesome,

I doubt you will find anyone here who thinks that your great moment is silly. It is a wonderful feeling to just automatically have positive uplifting thoughts instead of negative ones.

Great post!
