Hey y'all

I'm now on day 2 of session 1. So far so good. It's been hard making time and applying the lessons when working nights with a hectic schedule, etc... I'm going to give a good go. I hope everyone does as well. Take care, talk with y'all soon.

Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself. I also could relate a lot with what tape #1 says. I find it so interesting how openly they discuss it b/c when I try to talk with friends/family about it, usually they look at me like I am crazy. Nice to know someone gets it.

I'm almost at week's end with session 1 and have started to learn about myself; good and bad. Have slowed down, focusing on what makes me tick and found comfort in hearing tape 1 testimonials.

Hi, I am Kathy and I just finished listening to the first cd. After listening to it I cried, not because I was sad but becasue I was very happy that I can finally combat this. I am looking forward to the program and I have a good feeling that this will really help.

Hi everyone. I am on day 2. Everything so far seems to make sense. Especially the relaxation cd. Just like Larry G. mentioned, I have a hard time falling & staying asleep. When I am awake, all I do is worry. Hopefully this course will help with that problem. Question. Anyone else out there have a fear of driving on freeways? This fear just started in January. This is why I bought the course.

Hi Larry G and Jim S.--I can get to sleep quite easily, but staying to sleep has certainly been an issue for me. For the past few days, when I wake up anywhere from 1:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m., I simply put in the relaxation CD and the lesson for the week. This helps a great deal. I find that it is better to do something relaxing than to fight trying to go back to sleep which has lead me to much anxiety. Hope this helps!

Hi LuckyPenny:

I too am on Day 2 - recognized a lot about myself in Session 1. I'm going to listen to it (again) tonight and look at the workbook assignment. I do want to give this a real chance to work. Good luck to you. Smiler

I am on day 3 of session one... I feel hopeful and lost at the same time. I am having a hard time relaxing to the relaxation cd. I'm going through a separation and divorce at this time as well. I always like to pack it all in at the same time!!!

I just cracked the workbook open this morning. I can't believe they want me to start tapering off coffee AND chocolate... Eeker I love those!!! Razzer I have had no coffee today (yes, I did have chocolate) and I am ready for a nap @ 3:30pm! Whats this about sugar too?!?!?!?

I have fought off a few panic attacks with just the small knowledge I've got from the intro cd and session one cd. I hope this is a good sign...

Best of luck to all of us... I hope this might be what we've been waiting all these years for...

Hi All: I just received my package yesterday in the midst of a blizzard. Seriously, the UPS guy waded in drifts up to his knees to bring it to my door...my first thought was guilt that he had to deliver this to me. Then I listened to the tape and found out that is a perfect response for someone struggling with anxiety. The good thing was that with my office closed I had time to listen to the introductory session and then session 1. Mark_NH, I too am recently divorced after 24 years of marriage and find that my anxiety coupled with the divorce has pushed me to the pit of depression. Last night, or rather this morning, during my normal can't sleep from 2-4 a.m. period, I put the relaxation tape in. I don't think I got through it, so maybe it worked. Today, I've tried to use the information to ward off some panic attacks too. I think it can work, but feel I have a long way to go. Thanks to all of you for sharing your journey...so glad to know I'm not on this road alone.

I can't believe there has been no postings for 2 days now. I know we all have problems & I certainly would like to hear from people on how they are starting to resolve these problems. As you know from my previous posting, I have a fear of driving on freeways & even as a passenger. Well, tonight ought to very interesting. I accepted an invitation to a group dinner about an hour away & am riding with someone. I wanted to cancel but my wife didn't want to. See my problem. I am sure all of you can understand what I am going through. I don't want to but I am going to cheat & have a couple glasses of wine before we leave. A couple more at dinner & hopefully I can make it home without feeling too anxious. I know this is taking the easy way out but I don't feel ready to try this without alcohol. I am praying that after 15 weeks, I can make a trip like this by driving myself without feeling anxious. Any comments?

Jim, I just started day 2 of session one. And i definetly understand your dilema. I have used alcohol for years to help with my anxiety, problem being for me is i am an alcoholic also which makes a deadly combination for me. But I understand the anxiety of riding with someone else, not being in control of my surroundings. I feel anxious just thinking of your situation.

and as someone posted I repeat also, I hope this will be the answer we all are looking for desperatly.

beckman, thanks for your reply. I made it through okay. Obviously, I was drinking. You are right on about the control issue. I am starting on session 2 today.

Good luck to all of us. I hope this course works for us all.
