Are you frustrated by someone with whom there is no middle way? In other words, things for them are either black or white, right or wrong. They don't recognize that some things may be personal taste, and not really right or wrong. And they feel they must make this known to you. This is not a bad person just opinionated. Perhaps having their own anxiety.

Please share your thoughts. I think this is an interesting topic to explore because when we have anxiety such individuals are harder to feel comfortable with.

Good question! I have an immediate family member who insists that everything should be his way and is a control freak! I just tell myself that it's his problem if he wants to feak out and make a big deal over nothing! (I'm getting so much better at this!) I know I still do it to a certain extent, but I am working at it, and I have come a long way!!! I know he has had problems with anxiety and that he won't change, so I just accept it and don't over react...too much!

Thanks for your reply. Your use of the word "control" is often the reason for the actions of such persons.

This program has helped me not to slip and become aggressive when a situation such as we are alluding to comes up. I still think that often such persons are well meaning but just have a case of their own anxiety disorder. If they didn't, they might not act that way. It helps for me to see where they are coming from so as to lovingly understand their actions.
