I have something I need to go to in a few months I am already fearing it and hope I can have the courage to go. It is about 4 hours from the house or my "safe zone" and last about 3 or 4 days. I have not done anything like this since I have had my first panic attack in 1997 I know that sounds sad but people with anxiety may understand my problem better. I also have a problem with eating in public or at resturates which does not help matters. I just need to know what I can do to get myself thru this and I have recently weaned myself off prescription drugs after about 5 years and it has not been easy for me lately but I am just taking each day one at a time but the worry and anxiety is always there.

jason hi
if your traveling for a few days and feel really uncomfortalbe about it may a good suggestion might be taking the program along with you
to listen to in the car
or if you feel it may make you only focus on your anxiety try some good old road games
ya know like rhymes, or singing
and if your not the one driving bring along a good uplifting book or puzzles.
there are a million ways you can take your mind off of your anxiety.
just find the one that suits you.
i also having problems eating in public
as my first mild panic attack was in a resturaunt and i still find it hard to go back there and eat wihtout thinking what if it happens again.
just try not to focus on all the what if's and focus on enjoying yourself no matter what
best of luck Smiler
