You know, Pennie, folks like you who are currently going through the program are ten times the inspiration to me than I possibly can be to you - I remember how much strength of mind and body it took to just get through each day, back then (more than most people can imagine - the wimps! ) and just sit back in awe of the changes you're bringing into your lives. But to answer your question. No, I didn't take meds, not because I didn't want to, but because I was uninsured and couldn't afford the doctor's visit to get them prescribed. Besides... as odd as it sound, by the time my anxiety was at its worst in my mid-20's I was so used to it that I didn't know it was something medication might help. I'd been having panic attacks since I was at least six, after all... and until I heard of the Attacking Anxiety program I honestly didn't realize there were people who /didn't/ feel that way. I do think meds can be a fine thing, though, easing some of the worst pressure while a person learns the coping skills to leave them behind later on.
