Anybody out there think the fico scores are a complete joke? I think they are way to powerful!!!Financially speeaking I'm in a rather large crisis and haven't worked since November(unemployment). Part of the problem is a lack of good jobs but also my GAD and irrational fear of scrutiny and interviews,criticisms etccc. Anyway ,needless to say my anxiety disorder is directly impacting my financial picture and causing a great deal more anxiety. Plus all I can think about is the anticapatory anxiety on what it's goiung to be like after Bankruptcy and foreclosure. Why do I have to pay another 10 years for something that I A. never knew about.B Didn't ask to get. C can't get over immediately>> I hope I don't sound like I'm whining but Its a damn shame that people have to be put in the same credit boat with others that just don't want to keep up with their bills when I have always been able tyo until recently and this crap keeps getting into my way. Do I make sense??? any thoughts would be appreciated. ThanksKJK

I am not sure how to fix the fico score, but you may be able to collect disablilty income. Check with the social security administration, see if there are organizations in line or in your county that may be able to assist you in working through to getting disablilty if you are eligible. Can your commuity get together and help? We have fundraiser (spaghetti dinners, silent auctions, etc) for area residents that are in need. Our church also helps community members that do NOT even belong to our church community. If a resident needs help and the church knows, WE are there with meals, volunteers, clothing, donations, whatever we can offer. Church members that are in a profession such as real estate, law, contractors, offer up their services for free.
Ask, check, make phone calls. You also can try to keep your home...ask your mortgage company if you can pay the principle (I think it is the principle and not the interest) and then you can stay in your home. It costs much for the bank to go through all that BK and stuff, it is to their advantage to work with their customers and keep them than to take homes and try to resell them.

Thanks for the advice schnauzer!!! I don't belong to a specific church and have inquired with county and they shot me down. My income last year plus gf's too much. The house mortgage is mostly interest as it was refied just over 1 year ago and housing values around here are dropping due to great Michigan economy. I's like to sell but nothing is moving and those that are are selling for less than owed on plus comission. I'm kinda up a crick w/o a paddle. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that something comes up. I'm not stressing about it as much as I was. Program/meds??? Thanks kjk
