I want to share what has helped me just in case someone out there might benefit. I started having terrible problems with my bowels when I began taking Zoloft. I quit Zoloft cold-turkey after eight weeks because of diarrhea, bloating, gas, constipation, you-name-it. But the damage was already done. The lining of my colon was all but gone. Now, over a year later, I have finally gotten relief. I am taking products by Nature's Sunshine. Their Aloe Vera juice always relieved my symtoms, and still does. However, I've also started taking Intestinal Soothe and Build, and Gastro Health. And what a difference. I have regular, healthy bowel movements again for the first time in over a year. And I am able to eat almost everything I could eat before, in moderation. I never thought I would see this glorious day!!! We take these things for granted until something goes wrong. Now, I appreciate being able to go to the bathroom like a normal, healthy, human being. Thank God!
The Nature's Sunshine store owner suggested that I also do a colon cleanse. I am hesitant, but I bought the stuff and am going to do it soon. I'll let you know how it goes. (What news! )
Im so happy for you. Ill check that out. Meanwhile if i could only get ibs out of my head. Whoever heard of these kind of problems? I cant help but laugh at myself everyday. That is wonderful news lovejoy!! I am glad that you are feeling better. I have heard of this companies products with good results from the people that use them. I can add you to that list.
I would recommend doing a search for it on the web as I noticed that distributors of their products seem to sell them a bit cheaper. You can also check out your local vitamin or health food store, they may carry them as well.
Sorry it's taken me awhile to reply. I'm not getting my email notices. Irish, I was introduced to Nature's Sunshine products through my late mother, who was a distributor. So, I knew they were great products. That's why I went looking for a solution through them when traditional methods failed. I've never seen their products in any retail store, except for a Nature's Sunshine store. They do have a website, and I believe you can order online. Also, check your local white and yellow pages. I can't believe there is actually another person out there that has had the same problem AND tried the same medication (Zoloft) with the same result. I just started on the program "Attacking Anxiety and Depression" and have found myself in tears many times. Thank you for opening up about such a personal subject. It has been a source of embarrassment for me for the past 25 years. I did not take Zoloft long term either but have had 3-lower GI's. Never again!!! God bless you for giving me hope that I too can soon be living a normal life again.
