The MWC program has helped a lot with my anxiety and panic attacks. However, I cannot seem to get rid of my horrible dyspepsia and GERD symptoms. I always have pain in my chest, burning in my nose, and abdominal pain after eating. I've tried so many different things - PPI drugs, gluten and dairy - free diets, hypnotherapy, etc. Has anyone had any success conquering this type of problem?

Hve you ever tried perscription prevacid? I have the same problems with my stomach and prevacid has helped a lot. Also you may want to try a food allergy test. Your insurance may cover it and they check for any kind of food you may be allergic to that may play a part in your gerd problems. good luck

Have you tried enzymes? Doctors always seem to treat GERD & heartburn with acid reducers. People in the natural realm tell you that you are actually not producing enough acid, in which case enzymes would work better.

Thanks for your suggestions. I am on prescription Nexium and it has helped with the painful, difficult swallowing. However, it makes me feel very washed out and hypoglycemic all the time. I tried one type of digestive enzymes and didn't react very well to them - I am going to look into trying a different brand and see if I have better luck. The food allergy testing would probably be helpful if I could just convince my doctor to order it. This is probably an opportunity for me to use my assertiveness skills Frowner I get so intimidated by doctors and then I end up feeling angry with myself afterwards because I didn't speak up for myself or get my point across!

You are right, and that is a positive way to look at it - that it is an opportunity for you to be assertive. Remember that doctors are not gods. They are simply people like you & me who have gone to medical school. Don't let them intimidate you. Take control of your health. When you become assertive with your doctor he/she will respect you & treat you like the intelligent human being that you are.
God Bless
