Hello all. I just signed up for the feww 7 day trial. I went through the first day's program. The relaxation video was really cool. I actually found myself crying through most of it which is strange b/c I'm not usually a cryer.

I was very happy to see that there is an IBS board here. After many years of suffering, I started seeing an Osteopathic/Natural Med Dr for about 6 months ago. He diagnosed me w/a sinus infection, candida and possibly parasites. Ew! Eeker

I've gotten better since I began seeing him, but I've started realizing that my health problems have caused me to really check out on life. I've had problems w/depression and anxiety off and on since I was a kid. Since my health has been bad I've found that I'm really anxious about it and it keeps me from living my life.

At this point I only get out of the house a few times a week (and that is a struggle sometimes), I've lost contact w/my friends and extended family, and I struggle just to get basic things done around the house. Part of that is that I don't feel well physically. But I'm realizing that a large part is that I am depressed and anxious.

So, there's me in a nutshell. Smiler

Blessings,
txsunshine

hi there I first off want to say you are not alone .. I have depression .anxiety and panic attacks and IBS myself and not in the greatest of health but I am doing the program and WOW it has helped me alot so far , I am still working my way threw it ...
I just wanted to let you know that I can relate to struggling on doing things .. And I had AGORAPHOBIA also but overcame that ,,YEAH !!
I know that things are hard sometimes but you have to force yourself to use the adrinaline that your anxiety puts off , tell yourself in self talk im okay I can do this . I know its just anxiety and dep... and I can overcome this by doing what ever you are doing .. just except it and learn to overcome it eventually .. I have had all mine since I was about 8 yrs old and have a daughter who will be 9 yrs old and has anxiety . so its double here and many people go threw hard times and just look at it like I can continue on having this bad day or I can do something about it ,,, hope this helps .,Take Care

FIRST I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT I CAN TOTALLY RELATE TO YOUR STORY. I HAVE BEEN A HEALTHY INDIVIDUAL ALL MY LIFE(OUTSIDE OF THIS DEPRESSION THING). ONE DAY AT WORK--MY STOMACHE WAS REALLY BOTHERING ME. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT--ALL OF THE PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES I WAS USED TO GOT CUT OFF FOR ABOUT A MONTH(MAYBE LONGER). I BECAME SO DEPRESSED THAT I WANTED TO CHECK MYSELF INTO A MENTAL INSTITUTE--MY MOTHER REALLY WAS MY ONLY SOURCE OF INSPIRATION(GOD OF COURSE). I REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT LIFE IS ABOUT NOW--AND ALTHOUGH I'M BETTER, I FEEL WHERE U ARE COMING FROM, AND WHAT STAGE YOU ARE IN. JUST KEEP WORKING WITH THE PROGRAM--FIND PEACE WITH YOURSELF, AND KEEP PEOPLE THAT LOVE YOU SURROUNDING U AT ALL TIMES. I REALLY DO ENCOURAGE U TO KEEP LIVING(WISH U MUCH HAPPINESS, AND PEACE IN LIFE). FROM ONE PERSON THAT BATTLES THIS TO ANOTHER(IF I CAN DO IT, ONLY A COUPLE OF WEEKS IN, YOU CAN). GOD BLESS YOU!!

Welcome Sunshine,

We are all glad you're here. This is the right place to be if you are suffering from anxiety and depression. The people on the forums know exactly what you are talking about - something I haven't found anywhere else!

I had my last anxiety attack in February but have suffered generalized anxiety every day since then. This program has helped a lot and I'm hanging in there. This morning I woke up feeling like I have another sinus infection. I wanted to stay home so bad because I felt dizzy (dizziness probably an anxiety response to being sick). Anyway, I talked myself out of staying home and kept telling myself I would be alright. I made it to work! I'm amazed at what I can talk myself into these days! Smiler

Thank you all for your sweet replies. I appreciate all the support.

To Lisa43 - I understand SO much about the sinus infections! And yes, they can actually cause dizziness, I experience that frequently. I just wanted to give you a tip - I have done a lot of research and have been to a Natural Medicine MD for my sinus infection. Did you know according to Mayo Clinic over 90% of sinus infections are caused by a fungal infections which can't be cleared w/antibiotics? In fact antibiotics make the problem worse.

I have found some great success using herbal anti-fungals. My doc put me on Olive Leaf and I noticed a difference in the pain and pressure and dizziness w/in a week. I also use a nasal spray made with Grapefruit Seed Extract. It is great for killing fungus and bacteria. I'm also taking probiotics. It is a long haul, but I am getting better.

Sorry to give you unsolicited advice - I just know how horrible that can make you feel and I know regular dr's don't tell people these things. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I've spent years researching this stuff and I'm happy to share what I've learned! Smiler

Blessings,
Sunshine
