I don't have IBS, but have panic attacks and agoraphobia, so I don't like crowds either and also get alot of anticipatory anxiety. All I can say is to try and focus on the fun and positive experiences you will have and acknowledge the fear that may come with it, but have a plan on how to diffuse it, then you are in control and that makes you feel safe.

What I'd suggest is not to eat any trigger foods 24-36 hours before the event like dairy, caffeine or wheat/gluten.

Check session 2 to see what you need to do when you feel a panic attack coming on.

i have the same problem......i thought i was the only one.....but im also scared to go to the bath in public so i freak out anytime im out....i have tried watching my food i have tried meds and i dont drink caffeine nothing helps...i have also tried talking myself up but the but always gets in.
