I'm in trouble. i have been working Lucinda's program and have discontinued drinking caffinated coffee. Sounds good right? Wrong! I have had IBS for my whole life. The only thing that changes it for me IS TO DRINK CAFFEINE. I am regular as clockwork. If I drink 2-4 cups of coffee a day....vwalla.
But with anxiety I desperately need to stay away from the caffeine.
Dr's say "fiber"...my whole life. Has never worked. Has only backed me up so terribly (14-20 days).
I am a healthy eater and love fruits and veggies and eat them daily.
I would love to find an answer to this. Anyone out there have any suggestions?
Well, after years and years of trying everything I actually found something that has been working for me. Every morning with my cereal I add a tablespoon of flax seed that I just ground in a coffee grinder. I've tried all kinds of fiber and nothing has every helped. YOu just never know. Maybe it will work for you too.

I grind up flaxseed in my cereal as well. I'm doing it because I've been losing a lot of hair lately due to obsessing and worrying about things I can't control! I've heard flax seed will help in rejuvenating minor hair loss from stress, etc. I also have IBS, so I guess I'm killing 2 birds with 1 stone! Who knew! Amy Jo
Amy Jo, Now I might be killing two birds with one stone also!!!!!!!!! I have been experiencing extensive hair loss also...but just have not addressed it yet.
I know exactly what you mean. I have one word for you: "Metamucil". No fruit or veg in the world has ever worked for me either, however, this has... i use it twice a day. But still important to eat those veggies...
