I have had IBS-D for a long time now. When I was younger it was IBS-C which was actually easier to live with. (Not on the toilet all the time). Since my docs can't figure out what's with all the "D", they are doing a colonoscopy and endoscopy all the way up and down. It's is today 7/11/07 at 2;15pm CST. I doubt they will find anything else wrong. Just anxiety. Would like your prayers/positive thoughts sent to me however. I hope I ready and "clear" for the test. Right now I'm not, but still have 1 Liter of Movi-Prep to do at 9:00am and hopefully that will clear me out. I have been prepping since Sunday and I want to get this over with!

I remembered and I already prayed for you. The worst part is the preparation. I was so worried and it wasn't bad at all. You will sleep like a baby tonight!!!

Thanks Steven for remembering me, and your prayers. I'm new to this technology and tried to find your message from last nite, b\c it was so reassurring. The big "D" isn't clear yet. But as I said I have 1 more liter of Movi-Prep + 16 oz of water to do at 9:00am this morning. So, hopefully I can just go in and get this done with! It's about 7:45am here. I'm in MN.

Steven or anyone else on Forum, How do you post a picture of yourself along with your name? Would appreciate the instructions. I tried using my name, Jeanne, but it was already taken. Maybe I can find a creative spelling of it that's not already taken. In the FAQ, it tells how to change your user name, but not how to post a pic with it.

Test is done!! They didn't find anything wrong. Took some biopsies for a gluten allergy. Unfortunately I "did not respond to the narcotic"used for sedation and it REALLY hurt. All done now though. Yeah! Smiler

AHH! Celiac disease! I had biopsies like that too several years back...came back negative.

I was advised by a holistic MD to take this "Medical Food" call Metagenics. There is a IBS formula too. I have been told by other people that IBS is something that happens because of lacking GOOD bacteria in the digetive tract. Seems to make all the sense to me. I do not have IBS, but an inflammation issue and that is why the MD advised me take the stuff. Read about the products, just google Metagenics if you are interested in reading more about their products. I was skeptical, but my family has seen results from his regimne and since a real MD recommended the stuff and not some quack pot, THAT was the ONLY reasons I would consider trying the stuff.

Hope you are feeling better.

JCP What wonderful news! I thought about you all afternoon! The sedation did not take for me either...I stayed awake through both procedures. I have had several endoscopic procedures, so I have learned to relax my throat and to focus outside the procedure --I am really happy for you!

Dear Steven,
Thanks so much for your support. This AD&D program is great. But more importantly are these wonderful forums and chat rooms. Have never used them before cause I thought they would be too impersonal and not give me what I need. However, I'm finding exactly what I need from them and the Program. Better than any psycologist or therapist I've even seen! Thanks again.

I am glad that everything came back Good. I prayed for u. Did you panic?

I didnt want to say anything to you before the colo. But I did feel EVERYTHING when I had mine too. He told me afterward it was cause of my scar tissue from my c-section. But then I found out It was because of My HIGH anxiety that the meds cant respond. I have to get a endoscopy in two weeks I am trying to keep cool. I have heard it is a breeze I am hoping the sedation will work for me this time.

Yoyo,
They said it would taste like oranges...More like a jar of Tang from the 70's...It was a spray. In recovery everyone was asleep...and I was trying to jump out of bed...I was hugging everyone - I hope the security guard didn't mind...
