Hey There,

I too have been winding a path down the IBS road. At this point mine hasn't been diagnosed, but my Internal Medicine doctor thinks IBS makes the most sense. Personally, i have had pain throughout my stomach, right side, left side, and in the middle. My doctor gave me some medicine called bentyl that helps reduce the spasms which has helped. It might be worth checking out. Good luck to you. If you have concerns it never hurts to ask.

Hi! thanks for the reply... you mean you too haven't done any tests? are you seeing a GI or just a GP? I am only seeing a GP and I don't know if I should start to consult a GI. Anyways I started out the same as you.. pain all over.. like my tummy is so tender.. felt like someone just kicked me in the gut... just when i thought i was getting better coz the tenderness was gone somehow (still a bit of it left and i stil get easily bloted) then i started to feel the tenderness concentrated in my right side underneath the rib.. occasionally left wil throb but the main focus is on the right.. im worried about gallstones or colitis?? actually im worried about lots of things.. I'm worried that my headache is tumor, my weakness is lupus, or any other cnacers.. I think I just developed a paranoia Frowner I'll be seeing my GP again tom... maybe he'll have me do some tests since I have developed a new symptom again .. I really hope nothing awful would come out of it Frowner

I have these symptoms, also. Mostly on the left side. I haven't had tests either because of no health insurance. If you do have health insurance by all means have it checked out. I had my gall bladder removed right after I had my daughter. The only symptoms I had was very sick at my stomach but many people have a lot of pain. My sister said she felt like she was having a heart attack. They found my gall stones with a simple sonagram.

I know what you mean about worrying. I have a lot of health anxiety. I worry about my physical symptoms, too. With every symptom, I "just know" that it is some awful disease. I guess I am a hypocondriac. Take care and try not to worry too much. I will try to take my own advice. Smiler

Love and prayers,
Tina

Quite the contrary, I have had many tests. It just remains undiagnosed. I have had an Upper GI(clean) several blood tests(all normal), and standard physicals. I was recently refered to a GI specialist to make the final judgement...and yes, at some point a colonoscopy Eeker.
I do know what you mean about the paranoia. On the one hand you think it's ALL due to anxiety while on the other you think there has to be something physical going on here. It's so hard to know, but i believe better safe than sorry.

If you have gone through the program you know that depression, anxiety can affect your whole mind, body and spirit. If you are having trouble eating dairy products and it makes you feel ill it is your gall bladder. Stop and think about what your doing or thinking prior to the pain. Unless it is constant or involving food I would take a guess that it is your nerves being jangled. Keep track of when the pain starts and what you have eating or feeling.
