Has anyone ever had a problem with fecal incontinence? My doctor told me that it is because my muscles in my pelvic floor are so tense due to my anxiety that it is not causing constipation, but that it won't let me relax to go to the bathroom???? She told me that the fecal incontinence when I pass gas is because of the same issue???? Sorry...I know this is graphic, but I've never heard of this and it is definitely not helping my anxiety!!!

WOW!
I have never heard that before, but then when I am in a state of panic, I don't do ANYTHING! Not even eat, which ended me up in ER, because of dehydration, so I can understand that reasoning. Try and take deep breaths, drink lots of water, even if you don't want to and have fibercon handy, which you can put in anything, and is tasteless. Usually, if I have a lot of fiber, it doesn't matter if I am anxious, I have to go and it won't let up until I um, relieve myself. Also, doing pelvic exercies really help to relax those muscles. Practice squatting several times a day, doing cleansing breaths of ten, which will hellp muscles relax. Anyway, sometimes you just have to talk yourself into living, even when your anxiety is bad. Take Care. You and all of us will get well and we will be stronger for the experience! I know, because I have done this before and beat it! I and we can do it!!
