Does anyone know how to stop focusing on a feeling? like I'm terrible for when I read something, or I have a feeling similar to something else, I'll focus and focus and focus on it until it feels the way I think it is (but it really isn't if that makes sense!) I hate this so much, I know right before hand that when I feel a certain feeling I'll focus on it too much, but it's hard to stop! Anyone have any tips for this??
The best thing to do is to just let the feeling be there and that is it. I feel you are over analyzing it and that leads to obsessing over it. Just let your thoughts be there. It takes time =)
