Does anyone have the ocd where you feel you have to have everything in place. And everything clean all the time. Like I vacume and don't want people walking on my lines. I like all bottles and cans to face forward. all shoes to be tied and faceing frontward. shirts buttoned all the way. It literally ruins life and makes it not relaxing and enjoyable any help with this and how to deal with it would be very helpful

I don't really worry about how things are in order... but I am a freak about my house not being cluttery. I have 3 small children and I am constantly vacuuming, wiping, and picking up all day! I move from one cleaning project to another all day and I can't relax unless things are picked up... it drives me crazy! And of course it is never the way I want it.... with 3 kids its impossible. I have tried telling myself...."its ok...there is no rush.... your house does not need to be so clean ALL the time". It seems to help but I too am open to any suggestions! Take care Jennifer! I'll be thinking of you!

Thanks for commenting here. It really helps to know your not alone in things like this. I have gotten a ton better with being so obsessively clean. I just pick it up at nights now after my kids go to bed. I used to not even let them play in there rooms because everything had to be in perfect order or I could just not stand it it would drive me crazy. Now I just bite my lip and tell myself it can be cleaned up and do it when there asleep. I still have a little work to do but I am getting a ton better. Keep telling yourself there is no rush and it doesn't have to be clean all the time over and over in your head. If you want even right that on a piece of paper and put it on your fridge. Good luck you'll be in my thoughts.

Jenn I do to a certain extent. It's hard to live in a "want to be perfect mind" when we don't live in a perfect world. So lets work everyday on this and change our ways. David
