Yes it can. OCD will get less and less. Some conquer it completely. I had problems with it today even tho I'm almost done with it the 2nd time around. Mine are not scary OCD, just something going round and round in my head. I try hard to fill it with something else. After like an hr. of the OCD I started quoting Bible verses in my head to try to re-focus. It worked. It's frustrating but it does get better.

With all do respect to Barb G., in my opinion, I think this program is extremely weak on OCD. Rather than get into deep detail about why, I'll just say that you should use the program, absolutely, but as with all anxiety disorders, especially ocd-- and maybe everything in life, you should find as many references and resources as possible. I personally feel that the program is very weak on OCD and that is not because the program doesn't understand OCD, it is that it doesn't contain the tools necessary for dealing with most OCD characteristics, especially compulsions (rationalizing your obsessions isn't, in most cases, going to stop your compulsions.. you need to include exposure and other tools). I'd recommend picking up:

"Brain Lock"
"The Imp of Mind"
"The OCD Workbook" << althought I haven't read it it is supposed to be really good

and there are some others..

But basically if your "OCD" is creating a lot of distress for you then you should really consider speaking with a specialist or even your regular MD. This isn't to sound pessimistic it is just that the majority of OCD cases are not as easily cured with self-help materials as other anxiety disorders are. Certainly it can be, it was in my case, but the help up a specialist will boost your chances exponentially.

I'm sure things will work out, good luck,

- John

Candi,
Another good source for this is Freedom from Fear by Dr. Howard Liebgold. You can cure from this. Good luck to you.

Personally, I think the program is excellent for those with obsessions only. But as John said if you are not seeing results with the program there are many tools out there.

Candiandricky,
This program helped me immensely with OCD. Just keep your mind and heart open to all the info provided and let yourself overcome this. Don't fight with it, don't give yourself reasons for it not to work.
God bless and hugs to you.
You can do it.

Alot like John said I agree. This program has some tools.....but after dealing with anxiety and ocd I found that it did add some tools but not 100% deliverance!!! With OCD several tools are needed. I think this program really devotes deeply for depression.....look at the ingredients in the positive mood vitamins....they are basically boost up adrenaline feeling........I found having a therapist, some Xanax, books, and a friend to help redirect that I trust has been helpful....but most of all for having God.....who supplies all my needs and heals.

Carefully read the replies.......notice you really don't see "This program healed me from OCD"!!! It replies say......."This program helped me"......Its only a tool.

Believer08,
Try not to read between the lines when your negative thoughts are getting in the way.
Let me expand on my comments.
This program - for me, after working diligently on it and with it -
no more panic attacks, NONE
very limited anxiety, except the norm in life
ability to drive by myself now
the ability to pull out the tools and use them with ease now - coping skills
OCD is under control - awesome results
much higher self esteem
I do NOT suffer with agoraphobia now, at all
healthier outlook in general
amazing ability to turn those negatives into positives
total comfort with who I am and where I am in life and where I've been
the list goes on and on
You get out of this program what you put into it.
It works and saved my life!!
God bless!

Sorry cindylou I have no negative thoughts here just reality and pure complete honesty, I'm sorry that the honesty offended you and you assumed that way. Yes this program has wonderful tools indeed and I'm sure it has been a blessing to many and has helped many and for some different. I'm happy for your success but if you can see all angles of a rainbow you will see many different perceptions. Try reading some of the post above.......

Blessings

Believer I'm right there with you. This program has wonderful tools for some areas and some areas I see some strength needs to be added. Every person is a unique individual. What may work for one does not necessarily mean it works for all in all areas. I see that many post here in this forum pretty much say the same. This program has been great in dealing with panic for me....but some OCD I have to leave with God.....He is the ultimate deliverer for me.
