Hi everyone. Thank you all for sharing your feelings. I have been reading most of the discussions and I must say that it helps just knowing that there are other people out there going through the same thing. I just wanted to make sure all of you know how beneficial journaling can be. At first it was hard for me to sit down and write down my most personal thoughts. But I end up writing about a page a day and I always feel better after I do. I am also doing the relaxation 3 times a day and that too has helped tremendously. However the positive effects last only a little while. I am hoping that with time they will last longer. If anyone has any other suggestions please pass them on.

Hi Tania,

Now, I know it is time consuming if you do these every day, but I always feel better when I'm done with any of them. In addition to meditating, and doing the 15 minute relaxation tape, I take a walk, or do yoga, and I just started Spring Forest Qi Gong which helps as well.

The Qi Gong is based on Chinese thought and is supposed to help you heal yourself by running cosmic energy "chi" or "qi" through you. All I know is it's relaxing and exercise as well. It's like Tai Chi.

For me it's taking my mind off of the physical symptoms.

I will say that sometimes when I'm in panic mode and I go for a walk I feel very weak for the first 1/2 mile. Like I might pass out. But it always subsides and by the end of the walk I feel great.

Hope this helps!

I have found that exercise helps A LOT!!! I workout in a gym and usually feel anxious in the beginning, but somewhere along the way I forget about it and focus on the workout. When I leave the gym I feel GREAT! So much happier and healthier, and with my focus on something else than anxiety!
