so its been three days since i took my last paxil, weened down to about 2mg...the good thing is that i have very little anxiety unlike when i was taking paxil..the bad thing is this, restlessness, weird head shocks, dizziness almost like the floor is moving, mild confusion and so on...i was wondering if these were common withdrawal symptoms, if anyone has experienced them, and how long they last...is paxil just that hard to get off of?...but like i said, with the exception of restlessness, i have been calm, my anxiety and fears have been almost gone...well i guess thats it...please post any suggestions or advice...god bless everyone and i thank you all SOOOO much for your help

It has been several years ago I took myself off Paxil after 2 yrs of using it. I remember the same symptoms your are describing, especially the sensation that the floor is moving and I'd catch 'glimpses' of no see 'ems. I initially stopped cold turkey but that was disasterous so 'weaned myself' 1 day at a time. By day 4 I was in constant tears. Talked to my Dr. and he said that was a common experience, so I'd take 1 tablet every so many days, reduced it to 1/2 tablet, etc. and eventually, I wasn't taking Paxil any longer. My anxiety, depression did not change. My IBS went away. And, the daily thoughts of suicide subsided. All in all, a very positive thing for me to eliminate the meds. If I could offer any advice, it would be to be kind and understanding to yourself during this time. Drinks lots of water, herbal tea if you like, eat well. The restlessness is your health and energy emerging!!! Celebrate that!
