My simple pleasures are....
watching the sunset a hot cup of organic coffee in the morning a foot rub at the end of the day working in my yard hearing my kids talk about important issues babies... gotta love em' CHEESECAKE not having to cook watching a good movie going through dizzler.com and finding music that brings back some old, but very good memories... turn it UP! complimenting others and watching their face light up! When strangers smile at me. There is a shared happy sweet energy, kind of like a little kiss on the cheek, but not so intimate. I enjoy! I appreciate!
P.S. Mary, I absolutely know what Harvest Festivals are, and they are part of my autumn memories. I have found those fabulous scarecrows (scaled down sizes) at the big huge volume buy stores. I saw some last week in Albuquerque. I put mine up first of September and leave up until after Thanksgiving. We have a Hobby Lobby, and all the parts are there to make the scarecrow, too. Finding some really cute Harvest Festival scarecrow decorations for the front yard to stick in the ground. I'm the only one who does this because no one here knows what a harvest festival is.

Mary, I live in New England and Harvest Festivals are really nice! You gotta love that fresh, crisp air, apple picking, pumpkin picking, hot apple cider, hay rides as well as the lumberjack contests, etc...There is something in the air around here that is refreshing and fun. I want to add the colors of the foliage glow in the sun with bright reds, oranges and yellows.... Thanks for bringing this up...reminds me what is to come the next couple months! Yes, I miss the crisp air in the fall since sometimes here our fall is about 92 degrees with dry santa ana winds blowing. lol No one decorates much for anything here, and I remember the towns in Pennsylvania were so decorated to celebrate the summer harvest. Childhood memories.
